Her husband was killed during an attack on the village with shelling on March 9th. A bullet hit his eye, he was resuscitated and a craniotomy was performed but he didn’t survive. They were hiding in the basement after escaping her house was destroyed.
Valentina has 2 children and 3 grandchildren. She has nowhere to live and plans to repair a small shed near the house to live in.
