Every Christmas, with your support, we provide a Christmas package to 200 widows living alone in Ukraine. Most live on very limited pensions and often go without simple comforts. Some have no family left at all and live in very remote villages without running water. Some live in Eastern Ukraine, dangerously close to the front.
Each $20-30 package includes:
• Staples such as oil, salt, sugar, cheese, bread, and canned goods
• Seasonal treats like fruit and chocolates
• A high-quality photo calendar with Scripture
The calendars are deeply treasured! Widows hang them in their kitchens and look at them every day throughout the year. The verses become reminders of God’s love and the personal care of the body of Christ.
Our goal is to reach all 200 widows this Christmas, and we need $5,000 by December 15th.
Funds are distributed to only known, trusted volunteers living in Ukraine that we’ve worked with for many years. Our plan is to first bless all 200 widows with the calendars and a package of food, then, if we have funds remaining, we will return in the New Year to those most in need and assist with urgent direct support.
