Obschak Nadiya was born on April 1, 1941 in the village Velyke, Kozyatinskyi region. She finished 7th school grade and went to work at a poultry farm. She worked there for 39 years and retired.

Her husband died in 2004. She had two sons. One son died of illness. The second lives in another city and rarely visits.

She suffers from heart failure, tachycardia. Has her own house, grows vegetables in the garden. The pension is small, not enough to live on. She thanks God for the people who care for her and other widows.
