Kachalenko Tetyana Petrivna, was born September 27, 1954 in Novorossiysk, Krasnodar region. Her mother is from Russia, her father was Ukrainian, a military officer of the 2nd rank, lieutenant colonel. When her father’s ship was sailing from the Kuril Islands to Japan, a nuclear explosion occurred and my father received a large dose of radiation and died in 1961. Her mother was left alone with three children in her arms. Tetiana had a sister and a brother. The family moved to Ukraine when Tetiana was 3 years old.

In 1975, Tetiana Petrivna got married and gave birth to a son. In 2014, her husband died of cancer. She has been a widow for 9 years. Suddenly, in 2019 Tetiana’s only son dies of a brain tumor, and at the same time she breaks both legs. She was in a wheelchair at her son’s funeral because she could not walk.

During the hostilities in 2022, she was in her house in Borodyanka, hiding in the cellar. And when an airplane bombed the town and destroyed the roof, windows, and doors, she left for western Ukraine. She became very ill after the experience. She has hypertension, varicose veins of the lower extremities and underwent surgery to replace the lenses of both eyes.
