Varvara was born in 1945, in Sumy Eastern Ukraine. She lives alone. It is winter, and she does not go outside. She moves around the house on two sticks and lives in her own house. Volunteers from Sumy visit her, bring her food packages, and sometimes medicine. Today, she reads the Bible and begins to pray. Varvara wanted to be useful to others, so now she started knitting socks and round blankets for soldiers. She transmits it through volunteers to the front lines.
