Nadiya Grygorivna, lived all her life with her husband together, no children. They loved each other very much. When the war started, her husband got sick with his heart and could not walk. They hid in the basement for two weeks. The Russians came and told them to leave quickly, because they would shoot.
Nadiya shouldered her husband to another shelter, he told her to leave him, to save herself. But she didn’t leave him, two guys helped her carry him to the shelter. Then they left for Lviv and her husband died there. She was left alone with a nephew, but it was very hard for her.
She went back to her apartment in Borodyanka where the windows and doors were broken. They told her to leave for an unknown place for two to three months, while they demolish the upper floors and make major repairs. She has nowhere to go. She is very happy when volunteers come to her.
